Through a White House summit on citizen diplomacy\, Ike fostered a network that would champion peace and prosperity by creating bonds between people from different communities around the world.  More than 2\,000 U.S cities\, including Phoenix\, are connected to more than 1\,800 international cities! We joined the movement in 1972 and have since established meaningful relationships with TEN cities around the globe.
